More than 50 events are planned for 2026. Expect Western landscapes. Wildlife art. Contemporary work. Gallery walks. Artist demonstrations. Auctions. Food. Drinks. And plenty of reasons to linger downtown.

The festival is one of the signature fall events in Jackson Hole and an ideal way to experience the town beyond the trail.

Start with Palates & Palettes on September 11. Galleries around Jackson pair art with food and drinks for an evening made for wandering.

Then head to Arts on the Green on September 13. The juried outdoor art fair brings more than 50 local and regional artists to the Center for the Arts lawn. Browse ceramics, photography, paintings, jewelry, and mixed-media pieces. Stay for live music and local food.

The Fall Arts Festival Art Walk follows on September 16.

Pumpkins on Fire returns to the Art Association of Jackson Hole on October 10th. This family-friendly festival puts an artistic spin on a classic autumn tradition.

Visitors can glaze handmade ceramic pumpkins and watch them emerge from a live raku firing. There are also pumpkin-themed crafts and block printing activities.

Admission is free. Activities run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Art Association’s Glenwood parking area.

October 21–25, 2026

The Jackson Hole Writers Conference returns October 21 through 25 at the Center for the Arts.

For more than 35 years, the gathering has brought writers together in Jackson. The 2026 conference includes intensive workshops, author presentations, craft classes, readings, conversations, and opportunities to connect with authors, editors, and literary agents.

Some readings and activities are open to the public.

The Jackson Hole Ski & Snowboard Club Annual Ski & Gear Swap runs October 22 through 24, 2026.

Expect alpine skis, Nordic gear, snowboards, backcountry equipment, and more.

Gear drop-off takes place October 22 and 23. The main Jackson Hole ski swap takes place Saturday, October 24, at Heritage Arena.
